What is sweeter than a good story. Stories and myths keep society going. They are what an entrepeneur tell as their vision, what an artist calls a painting. But the greatest tool of story telling remains literature.
literature is the written or printed publication of the human collective mind. The mind has two parts the conscious and the unconscious. The world of man is constantly being affected by his mind. In fact his world is a reflection for his thoughts. Now if we were to do a numerical comparison of a developed country and an underdeveloped country. What you have is one who is collecting the developed minds and the other is starved through what economists call a brain drain. Literature has been around for a long time, since the time people began to record history in the books through the traces of cave men to the papyrus of Egyptian to the paper of the Chinese and then the type writers and computers of the west and occident. So literature performed the purpose of recording history and creating tentative suggestions of the future. These suggestions turn out to be workable future models by those inspired by it.
The mind is magical in its own power as it can convert the physical world into thought and deduce problems, solutions and create innovations without any aid. For example planes and cars have evolved over the last century because they have been processed in the thoughts of professionals.
Literature is a responsibility of the unconscious mind as it is good to write down what is repressed down there so that future generations can understand the pressures. For example in Nigeria, Chinua Achebe who is a writer put down the military oppression through dictatorship for future generations to read.
Literature as a tool of progress cannot be underestimated as all ideas need to be put down in writing before they can have active play in the world. The principle of mind over matter. If Cleisthenes didn't write about his ideas or speak about them in oratory then there would probably be no democracy. No material for the surrounding parts to be inspired by. The unconscious provides all the ideas and inspiration for man buy not all men can access such aa place. One a trained mind can do so and it is his responsibility to make sure he shares whatever goodies with the rest of the world whenever he goes into the place of gifts. Literature would be his tool.
A Lot of writers in Nigeria have made a substantial amount talking about the current state of affairs as well as history. Like chimamanda Adiche has made stories with Nigerian history as a backdrop for the romance her fans love. My facirite being half of a yellow sun that did exacyly this. The narrative remains the same the colonies came and they left and now we suffer in the brine of corruption. This is the summary of the Nigerian narrative; that a lot of political leaders have tried to change but what's this new idea. No work of literature within my reading history by a Nigerian writer has done the Job of creating a tentative future. A good work of literature can be a tentative blueprint for the younger generation. A great example is example isaac asimov's foundation series have become one of the inspiring factors to the present day thoughts and methodologies of maverick billionaires. These books inspired space travel and space colonisation. I speak for none other than Elon musk the millennial zeus with an appetite to occupy Mars. These literary concepts of the 70s have become the narrative in the present day. This just goes to show the power of literature in moulding a future. Nigerian writers should own this power and suggest customised political ideas that would include the average citizen in the politics as well as put checks and balances in place that will keep the politician from cheating the common man as they are known to do. This blog takes up topics like the digital divide and catching up to the coming singularity. We shouldn't miss the opportunity that the Internet has given to us to multiply the value in our hands with free knowledge that was otherwise impossible thirty years ago. We can catch up to developed world. We just need inspiration. Who better to give inspiration that those who know where it rushes from. Credible innovations have come
So the ideas that come to the mind of credible capitalists about the future are the following AI will be active in alot of affairs and so it should be put to work by writers to create all the possibilities for though and brainstorming the future to avoid the most of problems that should have never happened.

2. Health care will be disrupted by AI. Programs that work with nanobots made of both organic and inorganic matter are already a reality. A successful nanotechnology will be powered by AI, it could make and join parts within the body, could fill up spaces the hands cannot reach and may even be a less painful ordeal.
3. AI in manufacturing; taking down the need for humans in manufacturing is still one issue in the use of machines. The machines have gradually been reducing human labor in favour of AI. AI can be used to make models for a 3d printer and scaled to any level.
